Lights-out was called and then the counselor walked back down the hill, and this is the twenty minutes after that. The screen door lets in everything the woods are doing, and the one bulb makes the corners darker than no bulb would. Seven bunks are made and one is turned down, and it is the one you would have run for the second the door opened. You were homesick here in a way you were too proud to name, and you also never wanted to leave.
